January 16: Martin Luther King Jr. Multi-Cultural Festival
The Multi-Cultural FESTIVAL, from 11am to 5pm, is held at the Ruoco Park, Harbor Drive and Pacific Hwy, downtown San Diego. Features exhibits, vendors, food, music and entertainment.
January 17: Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade
The annual event commemorates the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The PARADE (2-5pm approximately) features marching bands, floats, drill teams, balloons, and antique cars. Parade route: Starts at Harbor Drive and Grape Street and continues to Harbor Drive and Pacific Highway.
January 26-29: Farmers Insurance Open Golf Tournament
One of the top golf tournaments in the country, this annual PGA Tour event, hosted in stunning Torrey Pines with sweeping views and ocean breezes, features marquee golfers including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jon Daly, Fred Couples and Mark O'Meara.
All February: San Diego Museum Month
Enjoy half-off entry fees at 40 San Diego Museum Council membership museums and explore a variety of arts, culture and science-oriented destinations. From Oceanside Museum of Art to the Tijuana Estuary, these museums provide ample opportunities for "edutainment," creating memories and fun for the whole family.
